READING THE DATA

A range is a guide,
not a promise.

A recruitment salary guide describes a market for hiring. It does not measure every current employee in that role.

Start with the location and level

Our profession pages use published permanent-role ranges for Dublin. Where the source provides them, the rows represent 0–3, 3–5 and 5+ years of experience. A band may be absent for a role; the page leaves it blank instead of inventing a figure.

Look at the whole interval, then ask whether the role's responsibilities, required skills, employer and benefits resemble the source's market. Bonuses, equity and pension contributions can change total compensation beyond basic salary.

Why a midpoint is not an average

The middle of a quoted range is simple arithmetic. It is not a measured mean or median of salaries. We show the published lower and upper bounds and keep the CSO's observed earnings in their own section.
